"A very deeply pitched nose grudgingly offers up notes of liqueur of plum, kirsch, earth and a hint of the sauvage. The concentrated and deeply powerful big-bodied flavors brim with dry extract that both buffers the very firm tannic spine as well as imbues the mouth feel with a velvety texture. There is fine balance and excellent length though not quite the sheer depth of the Bonnes Mares."
