Flamboyant but controlled, the 2022 Cheval Blanc turned out beautifully in bottle. The Wine Advocate scored it 98 and the glass bursts with minty mulberry, licorice and rose petal aromas, plus pipe tobacco and baking chocolate. Full-bodied, rich and velvety, its sweet powdery tannins and layered, unctuous profile end in a long, fragrant finish.
