Profound and tightly wound, this Lafite offers graphite, black currants, licorice and camphor, then full-bodied, phenomenally concentrated fruit. The blend, 82.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and Petit Verdot, carries 13.59% alcohol and severe selection. Classic elegance, purity, soft tannins, low acidity; youthful, needing ten to fifteen years, built for fifty.
