"The 1988 Cote Rotie has already thrown a heavy sediment because of its admirable extraction level. Opaque black/purple, with an incredible knockout bouquet of cassis, leather, herbs, smoked meats, and Asian scents (soy), this fabulously rich, dense, chewy Cote Rotie has a texture that reminded me of a great Pomerol.
