Frederic Esmonin Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru 1990, 750ml

1 in stock.
"Esmonin claims his 1990s were not filtered, but reports circulate that a Kisselguhr filtration was done after malolactic. These wines are less intense than most good 1990s. And yes, they do reveal that spit-polished look that suggests either excessive fining or filtration. The Mazis-Chambertin appears to be the best of these 1990s, with the deepest color, a closed nose, a highly extracted, rich, broad-shouldered feel in the mouth, and 4-12 years of aging potential. Various American importers." RP 88
