Fingers Crossed 'Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid' White 2018, 750ml

1 in stock.
"A blend of 72% Roussanne, 24% Chardonnay and 4% Viognier coming from Manfred and Elaine Krankl’s Cumulus vineyard plus Bien Nacido and White Hawk vineyards, the 2018 Off the Record White was aged for 21 months in 75% new oak. This wine was bottled in July 2020. The nose is wonderfully fragrant, offering up scents of honeysuckle and jasmine over a cocktail of white peaches, pink grapefruit and lime cordial. The full-bodied palate lends delicious savory accents, marked by a refreshing backbone that counters beautifully the opulent, satiny texture. It has a long, energetic finish. The addition of Chardonnay (coming from the fabulous Bien Nacido vineyard) to the blend really kicks this year's offering up a notch, no doubt giving a nod toward the whites of Sine Qua Non (which I personally LOVE), but perhaps with less cerebral gravitas than SQN and more of a carefree skip in its step. 100 cases were made."
